Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
- Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and enforce compliance standards (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Provide security awareness training to employees to reduce human error and phishing risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or SOC Analyst.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Proficiency with security tools (e.g., Sentinel, Wireshark, Snort).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
