Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization platforms
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive maintenance strategies
- Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS/Azure with emphasis on security best practices
- Automate deployment and configuration using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell
- Ensure compliance with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 security standards
- Collaborate with network engineers on firewall rules and VPN configurations
- Document system architectures and create disaster recovery procedures
- Lead cross-functional projects for system upgrades and migrations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Windows Server (2016+) and Linux administration
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware vSphere/Hyper-V) and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation
- AWS/Azure certifications (SAA, AZ-104) or equivalent experience
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) and security frameworks
- Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios, Datadog)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours during critical maintenance windows
