Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for high-volume transaction processing.
- Analyze execution plans and implement indexing strategies to reduce latency and improve throughput.
- Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to translate complex requirements into efficient database models.
- Mentor junior developers on database best practices, normalization, and data governance policies.
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to ensure seamless data migration and synchronization across multiple systems.
- Proactively monitor database health, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and implement disaster recovery protocols.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience with advanced SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server).
- Deep understanding of relational database theory, normalization, and ACID compliance.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for data automation and manipulation.
- Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, or Google Cloud SQL).
- Strong knowledge of version control systems (Git) and Agile development methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
