Responsibilities
- Design and implement distributed systems processing 500K+ daily API calls
- Lead CI/CD pipeline automation for 15+ microservices using GitLab and Terraform
- Optimize database performance for PostgreSQL and MongoDB clusters
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers during handover periods
- Implement security best practices for PCI-DSS compliance
- Collaborate with Asian/EU teams during peak business hours
- Document architecture decisions using Confluence and Lucidchart
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in backend development with Python/Java/Go
- Expertise in AWS (EC2, Lambda, EKS) and container orchestration
- Strong knowledge of event-driven architectures and message queues
- Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to work independently during off-peak hours
- Experience with fintech or high-transaction systems preferred
