Role Overview
As a Senior Information Security Engineer, you will be the last line of defense against sophisticated cyber threats. You will lead incident response initiatives, manage risk assessments, and drive the implementation of next-generation security technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced security protocols, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems.
- Conduct thorough penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify potential weak points in the network architecture.
- Oversee incident response procedures, coordinating with legal and compliance teams during data breaches or security incidents.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees across all departments.
- Architect Zero Trust network models to enhance data protection and access control.
- Monitor security trends and emerging threats to proactively update our defense strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on network security engineering.
- Certification: CISSP, CEH, or CISM is required; GCIH preferred.
- Deep technical knowledge of Linux, Windows, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong understanding of cryptography, PKI, and secure coding practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
