Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify security gaps.
- Lead incident response teams during active security breaches and cyberattacks.
- Design, deploy, and maintain next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Monitor security logs and intelligence feeds to detect and mitigate emerging threats.
- Produce detailed security reports and briefings for executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related role.
- Active certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, cryptography, and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
- Hands-on experience with security tools like Splunk, Wireshark, and Metasploit.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
