Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar)
- Lead incident response coordination for security breaches and cyber attacks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across hybrid environments
- Develop zero-trust architecture frameworks for cloud/on-premise infrastructures
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor junior engineers and create security awareness training programs
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and Texas data protection regulations
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in engineering/architecture roles
- CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification required (CISA preferred)
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network security (Palo Alto/Fortinet)
- Hands-on experience with EDR, XDR, and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong scripting skills (Python/Bash) for automation solutions
- Proven incident response leadership with IR35 framework experience
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain
