Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust cybersecurity strategy aligned with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to proactively identify system weaknesses.
- Manage firewall configurations, VPNs, and endpoint protection systems to secure network perimeters.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, coordinating with IT and management to minimize downtime.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training for employees to foster a culture of security.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement secure coding practices and DevSecOps pipelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or systems administration.
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) for automation and log analysis.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
