Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-grade security infrastructure including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems
- Lead incident response activities including threat hunting, forensic analysis, and containment procedures
- Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities
- Develop and maintain security automation frameworks using Python, PowerShell, and Ansible
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST frameworks)
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to security awareness programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection and response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or CompTIA Security+)
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network security architecture
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong scripting abilities (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience with compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in high-pressure situations
