Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-grade security architectures including zero-trust frameworks, EDR solutions, and cloud security controls
- Lead incident response operations, conducting forensic investigations and developing mitigation strategies for complex cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across hybrid environments (AWS/Azure/on-prem)
- Develop security automation using Python, Ansible, and SIEM integrations to enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS standards
- Mentor junior security engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of security protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering with focus on cloud security and threat detection
- Active CISSP, CISM, or OSCP certification (or equivalent)
- Expertise in security tools: Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, and AWS/Azure security services
- Strong understanding of threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, STIX)
- Experience with IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation for secure deployment
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
