Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar to identify potential threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively secure network infrastructure.
- Develop, test, and maintain incident response plans to minimize downtime during security breaches.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT operations to deploy security patches and enforce security policies across the organization.
- Investigate forensic data to determine the root cause of security incidents and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security analysis.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and encryption standards.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure and in high-stakes situations.
