Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events on the SOC dashboard to detect potential intrusions or anomalies during weekend hours.
- Conduct forensic analysis and incident response for confirmed security breaches.
- Manage and analyze logs using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify trends and vulnerabilities.
- Escalate critical incidents to the on-call team and coordinate with internal stakeholders for remediation.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and patch management updates to minimize exposure.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed playbooks for weekend-specific scenarios.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in using SIEM tools and log analysis platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Must be willing to work a rotating weekend schedule (Friday - Monday).
