Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk/Symantec)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Lead incident response planning and coordinate cross-functional remediation efforts
- Manage security tool integrations including EDR, firewalls, and endpoint protection
- Generate executive-level security reports and threat intelligence briefings
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct security awareness training
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in security operations or incident response
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ required
- Expertise in threat detection, network forensics, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management tools
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Ability to work under pressure during high-stakes security incidents
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
