Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and SOAR platforms.
- Conduct thorough threat hunting and proactive vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks before they are exploited.
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts for security breaches, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Manage and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Prepare and present detailed incident reports, trend analyses, and security metrics to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a SOC, GRC, or Security Analyst role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and common attack vectors.
- Hands-on experience with security tools including Splunk, FireEye, Snort, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of NIST, CIS, and HIPAA compliance frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
