Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Utilize SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to analyze security alerts and correlate events in real-time to identify potential breaches.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate technical response to security incidents, conducting forensics and implementing remediation strategies to minimize downtime.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network infrastructure and applications.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA compliance standards across all organizational systems.
- Security Architecture: Recommend and implement security controls, firewalls, and encryption protocols to safeguard corporate assets.
- Security Awareness Training: Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on emerging threats and best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CISM, or GSEC certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting, deep knowledge of TCP/IP, and hands-on experience with firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto) and IDS/IPS systems.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
