Apex Cyber Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite security operations team in San Jose, CA. Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify and patch security weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Lead and manage incident response procedures, including root cause analysis and post-incident reporting to minimize business impact.
- Enforce and manage firewall policies, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection solutions across the enterprise network.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR through regular audits and policy reviews.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification is required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or threat intelligence analysis.
- Strong proficiency with Python or PowerShell scripting for automation and threat hunting.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), and identity management (IAM).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
