Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to ensure 24/7 threat detection.
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, conducting post-incident reviews to refine detection and response strategies.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture and applications.
- Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) protocols, enforcing Zero Trust principles and least privilege access controls.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST).
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related technical field.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GCIH.
- Deep understanding of network security concepts, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
