Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the SIEM platform during the night shift.
- Conduct 24/7 threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to proactively identify potential threats before they materialize.
- Investigate suspicious network traffic, system anomalies, and compromised credentials to contain threats rapidly.
- Document incident response activities, forensic analysis, and mitigation strategies in detailed reports for management review.
- Collaborate with day-shift engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden infrastructure based on night shift observations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network defense.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, and IDS/IPS technologies.
- Proficiency in using security tools like SIEM, EDR, and endpoint protection systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a low-traffic environment.
