In this role, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats, monitoring our networks 24/7 and responding to incidents with speed and precision. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and SIEM platforms to detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses within our infrastructure.
- Investigate security incidents, root cause analysis, and coordinate the recovery process to minimize business impact.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and encryption technologies.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response playbooks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to secure cloud environments and software deployment pipelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or a related role.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH, Security+, or CCNA Security.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, architectures, and attack vectors.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
