Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Continuously monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools to identify potential breaches or suspicious activities.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents and cyberattacks.
- Network Security: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA by preparing detailed audit reports.
- Security Awareness: Collaborate with the IT team to implement security policies and educate staff on best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or as a Security Analyst.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, GSEC, or similar certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) and log analysis.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and network security architecture.
- Tools: Experience with Python or Bash scripting for automation is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
