Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-level threat detection, investigation, and response activities
- Manage SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar) to monitor security alerts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response playbooks and conduct tabletop exercises
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Generate executive-level security reports and metrics
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on threat detection experience
- Certified CISSP, CEH, or GIAC Security Essentials required
- Expertise in SIEM implementation and threat hunting
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) or automation tools
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotations
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
