Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Utilize SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel) to monitor network traffic, identify anomalies, and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in our systems and recommend remediation strategies.
- Security Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory frameworks such as NIST, SOC 2, and HIPAA.
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement robust security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Policy Development: Develop, document, and enforce internal security policies and procedures to reduce human error and risk.
Qualifications
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with security tools (FireEye, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks) and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analysis: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
