In this pivotal role, you will oversee our Security Operations Center (SOC), drive threat detection initiatives, and ensure regulatory compliance across all business units.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and event logs using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security breaches and malware infections to minimize downtime and data exposure.
- Implement and maintain security patches, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- Develop and conduct security awareness training for employees to reduce human error.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on SOC analysis or incident response.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
- Experience with scripting (Python, Bash) for automation and log analysis.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
