The Role
We are seeking a proactive security professional to manage our Security Operations Center (SOC) and support our threat hunting initiatives. You will be the first line of defense against cyberattacks, identifying vulnerabilities and mitigating risks before they impact our clients.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Perform tier-2 and tier-3 incident response, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support for internal and external systems.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden network infrastructure.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed logs for auditing purposes.
- Provide security awareness training to clients and staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and email security gateways.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
