Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and analyze system logs to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Lead incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, and recovery activities for security breaches.
- Implement and maintain security controls, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch systems and strengthen network architecture against cyberattacks.
- Prepare and present security reports to stakeholders and management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC or cybersecurity operations role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
