Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from SIEM tools to detect potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and respond to security breaches or system compromises.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure code practices and system configurations.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, compliance status, and risk assessments for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or a related technical role.
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and security tools (e.g., FireEye, CrowdStrike).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and operating system security.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
