Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk/Sentinel) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and root cause analysis.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and proxy servers to block malicious traffic.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve the overall security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with SIEM tools like Splunk, QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
