Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, or similar) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations, including root cause analysis and post-incident reporting to ensure continuous improvement.
- Manage and remediate vulnerabilities within the network infrastructure through vulnerability scanning and patch management.
- Support compliance initiatives, including HIPAA, SOC 2, and PCI-DSS, ensuring all controls are operating effectively.
- Collaborate with IT engineering teams to design and implement security controls that align with industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related technical role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access control models.
- Familiarity with scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) is a plus.
