Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in network infrastructure.
- Enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and HIPAA.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches, malware infections, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design and implement robust security architectures.
- Manage user access controls and privilege accounts to minimize internal risks.
- Conduct security awareness training and create incident response playbooks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site security audits.
