Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring & Detection: Analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify and mitigate potential breaches in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, coordinating with IT teams to restore services and prevent recurrence.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as NIST, SOC 2, and HIPAA, preparing documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on phishing, social engineering, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or IT operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM platforms, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
