Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Continuously monitor network traffic, system logs, and security alerts to identify potential breaches or vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the investigation and resolution of security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Security Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs to ensure data integrity.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify gaps in compliance (SOC2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and recommend remediation strategies.
- Security Awareness Training: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and phishing awareness.
- Forensics & Reporting: Perform post-incident forensic analysis and generate detailed reports for stakeholders and management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Certification (CISSP, CEH, Security+) is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm), firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and endpoint protection (EDR).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Strong knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and threat hunting.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
