Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Develop and execute incident response plans to mitigate breaches and restore operations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration of servers and applications.
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or information security engineering.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security models.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation and forensics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
