Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from SIEM tools to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct forensic analysis and incident response for security breaches and unauthorized access attempts.
- Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop and update security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff members to reduce human error and phishing risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Experience with security tools (e.g., Splunk, SIEM, FireEye, CrowdStrike).
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
