Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust network security protocols including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust architectures
- Lead incident response activities, including threat hunting, forensic analysis, and remediation of security breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and coordinate with IT teams for rapid threat mitigation
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of security programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CEH (or equivalent)
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security, and compliance frameworks
- Experience with threat modeling, penetration testing, and risk assessment methodologies
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
