Responsibilities
- Oversee 24/7 SOC operations, analyzing security alerts and coordinating incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on enterprise systems
- Develop and implement security monitoring strategies using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Lead threat hunting initiatives to proactively identify advanced persistent threats
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce NIST and ISO 27001 compliance frameworks
- Mentor junior analysts and document security procedures
- Present security metrics to executive leadership quarterly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with SOC operations focus
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) required
- Expertise in threat detection tools (CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks)
- Strong understanding of network protocols and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with security automation (Python, PowerShell)
- Ability to handle high-pressure incident response scenarios
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
