Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Design, implement, and manage firewall and intrusion detection systems to secure network perimeters.
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with incident response teams to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
- Provide security awareness training to staff members to foster a culture of security.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks, ISO 27001, and HIPAA regulations.
- Proficiency in tools such as Splunk, Snort, or SIEM platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
