Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent novel quantum computing methodologies
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define quantum chip architectures
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and simulation frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity classes
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or superconducting qubits preferred
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
