Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant security protocols for 2026 infrastructure
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit coherence times and error correction systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at global quantum technology conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from government and private sector partners
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information science
- Develop commercialization strategies for quantum computing applications in finance and healthcare
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from an accredited institution
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum algorithms (minimum 3 peer-reviewed papers)
- Expertise in superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Proven track record of securing government research grants (NSF, DARPA, etc.)
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks applicable to quantum systems
- Experience managing R&D teams of 10+ technical professionals
- Patent portfolio in quantum technology (minimum 2 granted patents)
