Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts via SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal systems.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents in accordance with incident response plans.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports accurately.
- Collaborate with the full-time team to implement security best practices across the organization.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Network+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and scripting (Python/Bash).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
