Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop incident response playbooks and conduct forensic investigations
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption)
- Generate executive security reports and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Stay current with emerging threats and MITRE ATT&CK framework updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on SIEM/SOAR experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerized environments
- Strong analytical skills and ability to document complex security incidents
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a flexible schedule
