Responsibilities
- Monitor & Detect: Continuously monitor network traffic, security systems, and SIEM alerts for suspicious activities and potential intrusions.
- Incident Response: Lead the initial triage and response to security incidents, mitigating risks and restoring system integrity.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in our security architecture.
- Access Control: Manage user access rights and permissions to ensure the principle of least privilege is strictly enforced.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure all security protocols and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) are met and maintained.
- Reporting: Provide detailed weekly reports on security posture, incident logs, and risk assessments to the CISO.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Availability: Must be available for flexible scheduling, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
