What You'll Do:
- Monitor security systems and respond to alerts in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response plans and playbooks
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Document security procedures and compliance reports
- Collaborate with IT teams on security best practices

Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing on network systems
- Document security incidents and generate compliance reports
- Implement security controls and configure network devices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security trends
- Participate in security awareness training sessions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight)
- Experience with vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys)
- Knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, IDS/IPS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Texas driver's license (client site visits required)
