Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security systems using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal/external assets
- Analyze security alerts and respond to potential incidents within SLA timeframes
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies and procedures
- Assist in implementing NIST and ISO 27001 compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities
- Stay current on emerging threats and security best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience (part-time acceptable)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (required)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap)
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and SIEM platforms
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid U.S. work authorization and clean background check
