Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from SIEM systems to identify potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal networks.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents following established incident response protocols.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Document security configurations, audit findings, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to harden systems against zero-day exploits.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a cybersecurity or IT security role (or relevant certifications).
- CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Familiarity with security tools such as Splunk, Wireshark, or Snort.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work part-time hours (approx. 20-25 hours per week) with high availability.
