Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for client systems
- Develop incident response plans and participate in security drills
- Document security protocols and compliance reports (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement network security controls
- Stay updated on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Provide user security awareness training and phishing simulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Burp Suite)
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and network protocols
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional on-site visits
- Basic knowledge of Python or Bash for automation scripting
