Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security systems using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate incident response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop and maintain security documentation (policies, procedures)
- Implement firewall rules and access control configurations
- Perform forensic analysis on security breaches and malware incidents
- Provide security awareness training to client staff
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on incident response experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience with Windows/Linux system hardening
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written communication skills for reporting
- Active Texas driver's license for occasional client site visits
