CyberShield Security Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team in Columbus, OH. Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and logs using SIEM tools to identify potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for client systems
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate response activities
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS) across networks
- Document security incidents, reports, and remediation procedures
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices
- Assist in developing security awareness training materials
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-2 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency with security tools (Splunk, Wireshark, Metasploit)
- Strong understanding of network protocols and system architectures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
