Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices using Java/Spring Boot and Node.js
- Optimize database performance for PostgreSQL and MongoDB clusters
- Lead CI/CD pipeline improvements using Jenkins and Kubernetes
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement robust monitoring with Prometheus
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical reviews
- Document architecture decisions and API specifications
- Participate in agile ceremonies during cross-continental handovers
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with backend development in Java or Python
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and container orchestration
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture
- Proficient with Git, Docker, and CI/CD best practices
- Experience with distributed systems and high-availability solutions
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure
