Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Conduct initial triage and analysis of suspicious network activities and potential threats.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed, accurate incident reports.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of security infrastructure and firewalls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve the organization's security posture.
- Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices through continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Familiarity with security principles, such as CIA triad and basic security frameworks.
- CompTIA Security+ certification is a strong plus (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
