Are you ready to defend against digital threats? SecureNet Solutions is seeking a driven Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite team in Philadelphia. As an entry-level role, we are looking for recent graduates or career changers who possess a strong desire to learn and grow within the security operations center (SOC).

Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Operations: Analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or Elastic) to identify and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Vulnerability Management: Assist in conducting regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises to identify system weaknesses.
- Incident Response Support: Support the incident response team by logging tickets, documenting findings, and assisting in the triage of security events.
- Network Security Configuration: Help configure, maintain, and monitor firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPN gateways to ensure network integrity.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of security configurations, audits, and compliance activities according to NIST and ISO standards.
- User Access Management: Assist in enforcing identity and access management policies to prevent unauthorized access.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: Currently pursuing or holding Security+ (CompTIA) or Network+ (CompTIA) is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, the OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Operating Systems: Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments and command-line interfaces.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivation: A genuine passion for cybersecurity and a proactive attitude toward learning new security technologies.
